Elk calves try to keep up with moms.
It appears the poor little young calves couldn't keep up with their mothers, but they found a way around the chain link fence. All better now!

Poor Elk w/ Swing In Antlers
Переглядів 2,7 тис.Рік тому
This poor bull is caught up in someone’s outdoor swing! It’s wrapped tightly around his antlers. Colorado Parks and Wildlife have been monitoring him for a couple of months now and as long as he can graze, drink and get around, they will leave him alone, due to the fact that drug immobilizing him can risk his life. Poor guy!! 40 seconds. Estes Park News

Such a high squeeky sound out of such a big bulky guy tho 😅 Nature has a keen sense of humor!
Man, is there room for wildlife anywhere on the planet?
In the fall of 2023 wolves were successfully released in Grand County Colorado. Elk are used to seeing dogs in the area, and seeing the wolves they will think of them as just another inconvenience. Right up to the time when wolves kill these elk. Enjoy this video. It won't be long and these elk will be gone. So a big THANK YOU to all of you who voted to bring wolves into to Colorado. YOU have killed these elk. !

Wolves were successfully released into Grand Co. Colorado just a few weeks ago. it won't be long and this will be the only way to remember the elk of Estes Park and the state of Colorado. THANK YOU to all you voters who wanted wolves in Colorado. YOU HAVE KILLED THESE ELK ! Kris, great work. Thank you for taking the time to create such a comprehensive production. Well done!
Are you speaking sarcastically? Just asking honestly.
@@sirisgoddess No Sarcasm ! I am serious. Since the release of wolves in Idaho, their elk populations have decreased by 40%. their moose have decreased by slightly more than 40%. Same for their deer. In Yellowstone national park, elk populations are down 80% because of the wolves. Back in Idaho, other unintended consequences are on the ranches. Wolves torment the cattle to the point of exhaustion, the cow then dies and the wolves leave it without eating it. Videos exist that depict this activity. Also because of the torment, the weight of the cattle going to market is down by 300 pounds per cow on average, which cost the ranchers a lot of money and increasing what we pay at the stores. Idaho has resorted to shooting wolves from helicopters in order to reduce the wolf populations in order to ease the predation on the wildlife, as well as, the cattle. The elk of Estes park see dogs on a regular basis. The wolves will not hesitate to get an easy meal. It won't be long for the wolves to move into the Estes park basin. When the elk see wolves there they will view the wolves as dogs right up to the point of their death. I am very pro-wildlife conservation. I favor managing wildlife through sound scientific methods, which the Colorado Parks and Wildlife do a great job. knowing several of the CPW wildlife managers, none of them wanted wolves. But, they have to act according to state law. Now that we have wolves, the watchable wildlife, deer, elk, Bighorn sheep, Mountain Goat, and moose that we so much enjoy in this state will disappear. Again, no sarcasm. I spend between 40-60 days a year watching wildlife of multiple species across the western states, I am deeply saddened that the people of the state voted based on emotions and not science.

It took 11 years, but I finally travelled from Texas and stopped by this store. I took photos, bought the children’s book about the bear and bought the peanut butter cups and the English toffee. Yum!
Satellite bull? Got a feeling that's a made up term. Cant imagine a mountain man coming up with that term. "Rogue" bull seems more fitting.
I promise you, I would be eating elk steak year round. Every year.
They wouldn't travel long. They'd be in my freezer.😊
Such idiots, every year, more of them.
LMFAO!!! How morons think this is real?? So fake.
Come on man! Ain’t got no time for your Tom-fool-er-re! There’s a Big Foot on the loose out there!

Here we go, everyone thinks they are either Scottish or Irish bollox... Only in America
Have you been to this? How much do you know about what goes on? Or is it just speculation about what goes on?
Estes has become a clown show., 🤡😢
💝💝💝💝💝
Also for anyone thinking of taking a vacation in Estes Park, be aware that the elk have the right of way on the streets. You might want to check out any other laws in place such as harassment of the animals.
This is awesome!!!
